Tour to Essaouira from Marrakech

Along the route to Essaouira we make a stop to see how the goats climb the trees of Argan that we find on our way. We will have the opportunity to visit if you want a cooperatives of women who work the Argan, known as the liquid gold of Morocco.

In this visit you can know the process of extraction of Argan oil, as well as its cultivation.

The Medina of Essaouira is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on our arrival you have free time to tour the port, stroll through the streets of the medina knowing the most famous historical points:

• Skala of the port: a bastion with cannons with a beautiful view of the fishing port and Mogador Island. Famous landscape by the scene of Game of Thrones.
• Skala de la Villa: Impressive sea bastion built on the cliffs.
• Mulay el Hassan square, heart of the medina, surrounded by cafes and terraces.
• The Great Mosque, Siaguin Street, where the silversmiths work, and the small squares of Bab el Sebaa and Chez Chaoni, where the café L’Horloge is located.
• The former palace of the Pachá, dating from the 19th century, houses the museum of national arts.
• The old Jewish quarter or Mellah, surrounded by a market, next to the door of Bab Marrakech.

For lunch you can enjoy its restaurants that offer fresh fish every day. Another option is to buy fish at the medina market for local restaurants to cook. You can ask our staff when you book if you like this option. We recommend your visit all year round and especially in summer, to relieve the heat of Marrakech.

Essaouira has a wide promenade with a large sandy beach where there are many activities such as: camel or horse rides, quads… or just relax enjoying its landscapes.
