Fez to Marrakech discovering the desert in 4 days

We will wake up early to admire the sunrise in the desert from the haimas. After our breakfast in the restaurant of the haimas you can return to the hostel in Merzouga by camel or in 4×4.
Our first visit will be to the oasis of Tissardmine will surprise us in the middle of the desert landscape its palm grove and vegetation, in these lands are usually cultivated.
We continue for a route that was used in the Dakar Rally we go to a viewpoint where we will have a panoramic of the desert of Merzouga. Then we will visit a nomadic community of the Merzouga desert. The nomads live in houses of adobe and haimas, this community will show us their way of life in the desert. We will follow a path through the Hamada (desert of stones) to the mines of Mfiss where they extract quartz, lead and Khol (used for pencils to make up the eyes).
Let’s discover the village of Khamlia. This desert town is known for Gnawa music, where we can attend a small music concert. In Khamlia most of its inhabitants are from Mali and Sudan, arrived in the days of slavery. That’s why traditional Gnawa music transmits the culture and values of this community. In Khamlia we will have lunch to try the specialty of the area: Berber pizza!
After our visit we will transfer you to your hotel in Merzouga to rest and enjoy the facilities. Before sunset we offer you the possibility to climb a high dune to see from there the sunset.
We end the day with our dinner at the hotel.

After breakfast we leave to the village of Rissani which has a unique history and the traditional market of nomads, then we cross Erfoud, Touroug to reach the valley of Todra where we go for lunch and a guided tour of the palm grove.
Then we’ll go to todgha’s gorges. We will make a walk with tranquility to the Gorges and in the afternoon we will continue towards the Valley of the dades passing by Boumalne. We will arrive at the Dades Gorges with several stops. Dinner and accommodation in hotel/kasbah.

After breakfast we will take a short walk in the Dades gorges before leaving Marrakech. The gorge is a wonderful site, and you will be able to take many photos of the ancient kasbahs and villages. We will follow the Dades Valley through El Kelaa M’gouna, the Rose Valley and the path of a thousand kasbahs. We will visit from Ouarzazate and stop for lunch in the village of Ait Ben haddou.
We will have time to explore the famous UNESCO protected site, which features many films such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and many more. Then we will head through the breathtaking landscapes of the high atlas when we reach Marrakech around 7 pm. End of our 4-day tour from Fes to Marrakech Discovering the desert.
